At over 11,000 ft. Chimney Rock Peak in the Cimarron Range rises high above Deb's Meadow. This meadow near the summit of Owl Creek Pass, Colorado was the filming location for the shootout in the 1969 movie True Grit. You can almost picture John Wayne taking on the 4 outlaws uttering his famous line...“Fill your hands, you son of a bitch!”. Uncompahgre National Forest, Colorado
